Entering China: Forget to Do It Within 24 Hours? 5000RMB Fine!

Upon arrival in China, it is crucial to remember to register your temporary accommodation within 24 hours
Failure to comply with this requirement may lead to consequences such as receiving a warning letter, facing a fine ranging from 1,000 to 5,000 yuan, and potentially affecting your future visa applications.
Here are the three ways to register

01
Hotel Registration
If you’re staying at a hotel, the staff will assist your temporary accommodation registration. The validity of it will last until you check out.
02
Visit the Local Police Station
If you rent a place or stay with a friend, you can take your passport to the nearest police station to register. It is valid until your visa expires.
03
Online Registration
Some cities offer this function. For example, in Guangzhou, you can do this through the Guangzhou Bureau of Public Security’s official account. It’s quick and convenient!

Remember to re-register if your residence address changes, even within the same city!
