Spring Festival 2025 Nears: A Time for Family Reunion in China!

The Spring Festival of 2025 is just around the corner! 

As it’s a reunion festival in China, do you want to reunite with your family in China but are unsure about the type of visa to apply for?

Today, we will introduce two types of visas for you!
Q Visa

If you are a family member of a Chinese citizen or a foreigner with permanent residence in China, you can apply for a Q visa to come to China!

 

The Q visa is divided into Q1 and Q2:

Stay in China for > 180 days, and apply for Q1 visa.

Stay in China for ≤ 180 days, and apply for Q2 visa.

 

The applicants for Q Visa include:

Spouse, parents, parents-in-law, children, children’s spouses, siblings, grandparents, maternal grandparents, grandchildren, and grandchildren-in-law

S Visa

 

If your family member is a foreigner working or studying in China and has not yet obtained permanent Chinese status, you should apply for an S visa.

 

The S visa is divided into S1 and S2:

Stay in China for > 180 days, and apply for S1 visa.

Stay in China for ≤ 180 days, and apply for S2 visa.

 

The applicants for S Visa include:

Spouse, parents, parents-in-law, children, children’s spouses, siblings, grandparents, maternal grandparents, grandchildren, and grandchildren-in-law
