Certificate of No Criminal Record for Foreigners in China

If you want to apply:

Residence Period: Must have cumulatively resided in China for 180 days or more.

Required Documents

A valid passport and old passport scan copy.

A temporary accommodation registration certificate to verify the applicant’s legal residence status in China. There is no need for personal appearance; we will handle the entire process on your behalf.

Application Location and Procedure:

To apply for a Certificate of No Criminal Record, we will visit the exit-entry administration department where the residence permit was issued.

After submitting all the necessary documents and upon review, the relevant department will issue the Certificate of No Criminal Record.

Processing Time:

Typically, the exit-entry administration bureau will complete the review and issue the Certificate of No Criminal Record within 10 working days of receiving the application.

If this certificate needs to be used abroad, notarization procedures are also required. Some countries may additionally require an Apostille, which is a form of certification under the Hague Convention, used to prove the authenticity and legality of a document.
